Description

This proposed research argues that the interplay between typologies, physical attributes and features of natural environments, and one’s needs, norms and beliefs differentiate perceptions and affordances, which then shape varying motivations and behaviours of usage that promote health. The pathways to explain such a relationship are complex and interactive; however, they remain fragmented. Better clarity can help draw comprehensive and targeted recommendations for the planning and design of natural environments that aim to promote health. Therefore, this research aims to address such inquiry by defining the following specific aims.
